The origins of BuddyMelt.

BuddyMelt’s yellow puddle dripping onto a book

This is the story of how BuddyMelt was conceived: what I had inside me when I imagined it, and what this sculpture means to me.

BuddyMelt

BuddyMelt comes from a need that is both simple and hard: to give a body to what stays nameless inside. Some emotions don’t ask for solutions. They ask for space.

They ask to be seen, even just for a moment.

To me, BuddyMelt stands for exactly this: the moment you stop fighting what you feel and start recognising it. An emotion that stops being a “problem” and becomes a presence.

Where it comes from

It was born from days when I felt full and empty at the same time. From that sense of silent fragility you carry around while, on the outside, you keep functioning. From a kind of sensitivity that often looks like weakness, but is actually intensity.

BuddyMelt is my way of saying: what you feel is real. And it deserves a place.

Why it is called “BuddyMelt”

Because “Buddy” means company.

And “Melt” means transformation: melting, giving in, letting go, becoming something else.

BuddyMelt is a companion that doesn’t fix, doesn’t judge, doesn’t correct. It stays. It remains. It makes room for you.
